I have been switching my website over and I wanted to share these Christmas decoration ideas at home from the past few years! Enjoy!
This post is about Christmas decoration ideas at home.
ALWAYS HAVE MISTLETOE
One “decoration” that goes up every year is mistletoe. It’s fun to capture the unsuspecting underneath! When I saw @vintageporch make a beautiful frame with this poem about mistletoe for her holiday decor I had to have one. I bought the empty frame at Goodwill and painted it with white chalk paint. I used pic monkey to type out the font I liked and was able to add a filter to make the background look like book paper. I would typically print this at Costco but since I had an unusual size frame I had it printed at Uprinting. They allow you to print unusual sizes. I just love how it turned out!
You could also print out your favorite holiday song or another holiday poem. We practiced memorizing it each time we sat by the fireplace. By Christmas Eve, we had a poem recital to see who could deliver the best poem rendition, minus the seriousness.
FINALLY WINTER
Finally Winter. We don’t have many “weather” days around here. However, it’s been nice and rainy enough to make the air full of holiday feels. Christmas at home is without snow. Thankful for all the sunshine we do enjoy but once in a while, I dream of a white Christmas!
GNOME ADDICTION
I see lots of things in this picture that need attention and straightening but I think I was under the spell of those gnomes and that was all I could see when I took this pic. I’m posting this pic anyway because I’m clearly under a gnome spell and not worrying about the rest. haha. Don’t gnomes just make you happy?
SO MUCH WRAPPING
BE OF GOOD CHEER
A permanent home in this spot well after Christmas decor comes down? I think so. I need a reminder to carry the joy of this season throughout the new year. It”s going to be a great one: I can feel it! Can you?
